The Gulf sale calendar for the rest of 2026: Prime Big Deal Days, 11.11, White Friday, UAE National Day and DSF, with dates
Six sale windows land between now and January. Here is what each one is, when it falls, what genuinely goes on sale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and which purchase belongs in which window.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Between the second week of September and the middle of January, the Gulf runs through its densest stretch of sale events: Saudi National Day on 23 September, Amazon's autumn Prime event in October, Singles' Day on 11 November, White Friday and Black Friday in the last week of November, UAE National Day on 2 December, the 12.12 flash sales, and the Dubai Shopping Festival from December into January. Each has a different character, a different set of stores that lead it, and a different category where it is genuinely the best moment of the year to buy. This calendar sets them out in order, states the dates that are fixed, describes the windows that have not been announced yet by their recent pattern, and, most usefully, says which purchase belongs in which window, so you buy the phone in November and the sofa in December rather than the other way round.
One principle runs through all of it. A sale window is only worth waiting for if the thing you want is in the category that window actually discounts. Electronics fall hardest in the last week of November; furniture and home goods fall in December and January; fashion is discounted almost continuously and rewards codes over calendars; flights and hotels move on their own timetable around the national days and the festival. Knowing that in advance turns the autumn from a series of banners into a plan, and it is the difference between buying once, well, and buying three times because a countdown timer said so.
September: Saudi National Day and the new iPhones
The autumn opens in the Kingdom. Saudi National Day is Wednesday 23 September 2026, the 96th, and the campaigns built on that number open one to two weeks before and run into early October. It is the year's best window for oud and perfume gifting, a strong one for laptops and last-generation phones at Jarir, Extra, noon and Amazon.sa, and a race for the 96-riyal airline fares. The same week, Apple's new Pro iPhones are expected on Gulf shelves; Apple does not discount a launch-week phone anywhere, so September's electronics saving is on the outgoing models, not the new one. We cover both in their own guides; the short version is that September is a Saudi season with a fragrance heart and an electronics leaflet.
For UAE shoppers September is quieter, which is useful: it is the month to do the research. Set up the accounts, apps and bank offers you will need in November now, when nothing is urgent. Check which of your cards carries a standing partnership with noon, Amazon.ae or Sharaf DG, because those partnerships are what turn a November sale price into a November sale price minus a card discount, and they are announced weeks ahead. The store pages on Hassalna are the shortest way to see which merchants currently have live, hand-checked codes, so you know which of your autumn purchases can carry a code on top of the seasonal price and which cannot.
October: Prime Big Deal Days, GITEX and Riyadh Season
Amazon's autumn Prime event, branded Prime Big Deal Days, has run in October in each of the last several years, typically over two days in the first half of the month, and Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa have taken part alongside the US and Europe. The 2026 dates had not been announced when this guide was written; the pattern points to early-to-mid October, and the searches for 'Amazon Prime Day UAE 2026 dates' spike the week Amazon confirms them. It is a Prime-members-only event, so the first practical step is deciding whether a membership pays for itself, which it usually does if you order from Amazon more than a couple of times a month for the free fast delivery alone. The categories that genuinely move are Amazon's own devices, small kitchen appliances, headphones and the private-label basics; big-ticket electronics tend to hold for November.
October also brings GITEX in Dubai, in the middle of the month, which is not a retail sale but reliably triggers electronics chain promotions around it, and it brings the opening of Riyadh Season in the Kingdom, whose ticket, hotel and experience promotions run from October into the winter. Booking platforms discount Riyadh stays and event packages through the season; the flynas, Riyadh Air and hotel-group pages on Hassalna carry the live promotions. If your autumn purchase is a trip rather than a thing, October is your window, not November.
11 November: Singles' Day, the cross-border sale
Singles' Day is a fixed date, 11 November, and in the Gulf it belongs to the cross-border and app-first stores. AliExpress runs its largest global sale of the year around 11.11, with the discounts front-loaded into a pre-sale window in the days before and stacked coupon mechanics on the day itself; Shein and Trendyol run their own 11.11 events; noon has adopted the date as a warm-up for White Friday with a flash-sale format. It is the best moment of the year for small electronics accessories, phone cases, home gadgets, and the kind of low-ticket fashion where a code plus a sale price makes the order absurdly cheap, and it is the wrong moment for anything you need quickly, because cross-border delivery in November is slow.
The 11.11 mechanics reward preparation more than any other window: coupons are collected in the app in the days before, spend thresholds unlock larger ones, and the best prices appear at the moment the sale opens, which in the Gulf is the small hours of the morning. The AliExpress page on Hassalna lists the Gulf-wide codes that apply on top of the sale coupons, and the difference between an order with a stacked code and one without is often the entire delivery fee. Buy the gadgets and the stocking-fillers on 11.11; leave the phone, the laptop and the television for the last week of the month.
Late November: White Friday and Black Friday, the electronics window
Black Friday is a fixed date, the day after the American Thanksgiving, which in 2026 makes it Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. White Friday is the Gulf's own name for the same season, coined by noon's predecessor Souq more than a decade ago and now used by noon, Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa and most local retailers; its exact dates are set by each retailer and usually announced in the first half of November, with noon's event historically opening several days before Black Friday itself and running through the weekend. The searches for 'White Friday 2026 date' and 'when are noon's White Friday offers' are the most common seasonal questions in the region, and the honest answer in September is: the last week of November, with the exact opening day confirmed by each store in November. We will update this guide with the dates as they are published.
This is the window for the expensive electronics. Phones, including the iPhones that launched in September, laptops, televisions and games consoles reach their lowest self-funded marketplace prices of the year here, and the banks stack their largest card campaigns on top. Sharaf DG, Virgin Megastore, Jarir and Extra run their own White Friday leaflets alongside the marketplaces, and Samsung's brand stores in both countries run their deepest Galaxy pricing. The rule for this week is patience within the week: prices step down in waves, the doorbusters open at midnight, and the best card offers are usually capped per customer and run out before the weekend. Decide the model and the storage before the week starts; then buy the moment the card offer and the price line up, not the moment the countdown ends.
Fashion and beauty are discounted just as heavily this week, but with a twist: many stores block their standing codes during the White Friday window, so the banner is the discount. The exceptions are worth knowing, and the Hassalna store pages flag which codes work on sale items; when a code still applies on top of a White Friday price, that is the single cheapest moment of the year for that store. Our separate White Friday guide covers what actually goes on sale in each category; this calendar's job is simply to place it: last week of November, electronics first.
December: UAE National Day, 12.12 and the Dubai Shopping Festival
UAE National Day, Eid Al Etihad, is 2 December, and the offers cluster on the days around it, from about 30 November to 3 December, overlapping the tail of White Friday. The pattern mirrors the Saudi one: campaigns built on the anniversary number, 55 this year, with 55-dirham price points, 55% headline items and 55-hour windows, led by the telecom operators, whose National Day plans and device bundles are the most-searched offers of the period, by the perfume houses with Emirati oud and dukhoon gift sets, and by the supermarkets. Electronics are already discounted from White Friday, so the incremental National Day saving there is small; the categories where 2 December genuinely matters are telecom plans, fragrance and the home basket for the long weekend.
Then 12.12, a fixed date that the app-first stores, noon, Shein, Trendyol and AliExpress, use for a final flash-sale round before the year ends, mostly a clearance of White Friday stock at similar prices with faster delivery, which makes it the sensible fallback for anything you missed in November. And from early December into January, the Dubai Shopping Festival, whose exact dates are announced by Dubai's authorities each autumn and had not been confirmed for the 2026-27 edition when this guide was written; recent editions have opened in the first week of December and run for five to six weeks into January. DSF is a city-wide event rather than an online sale: it is strongest for furniture and home, where the mall-based chains run their real clearance, for gold and jewellery, for fashion in the malls, and for the raffles and fireworks that make it a season rather than a discount. Online, the marketplaces run DSF storefronts with vouchers and bundles rather than deep cuts.
Which purchase belongs in which window
Put the calendar to work by category rather than by date. Oud, perfume and Saudi gifting: the National Day window in late September. Amazon devices, small appliances, headphones: Prime Big Deal Days in October, if you are a member. Trips inside the Kingdom: Riyadh Season promotions from October. Gadgets, accessories and low-ticket fashion from cross-border stores: 11.11. Phones, laptops, televisions and consoles: White Friday and Black Friday, 27 November and the days around it. Telecom plans and Emirati fragrance: UAE National Day, 2 December. Anything you missed: 12.12. Furniture, home, gold and mall fashion: the Dubai Shopping Festival, December into January. Everyday fashion and beauty: whenever a hand-checked code applies, because those stores discount continuously and the code is the discount.
Three habits carry across every window. Confirm the reference price before you trust a percentage, because the season's honesty varies by seller more than by event. Apply a code first and the bank card second, and read the total after each, because that order is what makes two discounts stack instead of replace each other. And keep the purchase list you wrote in September, because the countdown timers of November are designed to add to it. The store pages on Hassalna show what is genuinely live in your country on the day, checked by hand; this calendar tells you which day to look.
