Our methodology

Active coupon & active deal

An active coupon is a code we have added and checked, not marked as failed, and still within any expiry the merchant stated. An active deal is a non-code offer (a sale, a price drop, free delivery) that meets the same test. Anything we have greyed out as no-longer-working, or that is past its stated expiry, is not counted as active.

Best saving

The "best saving today" on a store page is the largest verifiable figure among its active offers. For a priced deal we compute it from a real price pair as (previous price − current price) ÷ previous price; a figure with no confirmed previous price is not turned into a saving. For a code, we use a percentage only when it is stated in the offer's own terms. We never derive a saving from a code we cannot price.

Expired offers & freshness

An offer is expired once it passes its stated expiry, or once it is reported and confirmed as no longer working; expired offers move to a "recently expired" list rather than being deleted. "Last checked" is the date we last added or re-curated the newest active offer for a store and market — a real event date, never auto-incremented to fake freshness.

Country & store eligibility

An offer appears in a market only if it applies there — we use the offer's own country list, never a blanket copy across the Gulf. A store page is treated as a useful search result only when it has real substance for that market: at least one active offer, or an authored guide. A brand page with nothing real to show is deliberately kept out of search results rather than published as a thin, empty page.
